Recreation Semester Policies & FAQs

Welcome to the Fall Recreation Session at Eureka Aerial! We’re so excited to welcome both new and returning aerialists.

This session runs from the week of September 8th through the week of November 17th, with no classes the week of October 13th due to MEA break.

By enrolling, you agree to the following policies and expectations:

Full Semester Commitment

Due to our limited class sizes, enrollment is a full-semester commitment.

  • No refunds will be given for early withdrawal unless due to an injury that prohibits participation.

  • Please only register if you are able to commit to the full session.

Attendance & Communication

Parents must email support@eurekaaerial.com if your child will miss class—regardless of instructor.

  • Absences are excused only for illness, emergencies, or conflicts that have been communicated in advance.

  • This is both a safety requirement and a courtesy to your child’s coach.

Early Drop-Off / Late Pick-Up

  • Students may arrive no more than 15 minutes before class and must be picked up within 15 minutes after class ends.

  • A $30 supervision fee will be charged if this policy is not followed.

  • Please contact Support or Katie if you are running late due to an emergency.

Check-In Procedure

  • On the first day of class, your child’s instructor will meet them in the lobby.

  • Shoes must be removed at the door.

  • Aerial bags and water bottles may be brought into the studio.

Illness & Injury Policy

  • Students must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to class.

  • If your child is injured but able to observe, they are welcome to attend and watch from the side.

  • Please ensure that any relevant medical information (e.g., asthma, allergies, diabetes) is shared at registration and notify us if any medication needs to be available during class.

Make-Up Classes

If your child is unable to attend class, we are not able to offer make-ups due to small class sizes and limited availability.

  • Make-ups will only be scheduled if a class is canceled or rescheduled by Eureka.

  • If offered, make-ups will take place the week after the session ends at the regular class time.

  • Weather-related cancellations will not be rescheduled unless an unusually high number occur.

Parent Observation

  • Parents are invited to observe the last 5–10 minutes of the first class.

  • Additional observation days will be held the week before MEA and on the last day of class.

  • Outside of those dates, parents are not permitted in the aerial room unless invited by an instructor.

Safety & Studio Space

  • Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby, but if the space is crowded, we encourage stepping out or running errands.

  • Siblings or minors may not remain in the lobby unattended.

  • Students must wait inside the building for pickup.

  • Students under 12 must be picked up inside the studio and may not wait alone in the lobby.

  • Instructors are only responsible for students during their scheduled class time.

Dress Code

All students must follow our mandatory dress code for safety and ease of instruction:

Required Items:

  • Leggings

  • Leotard

  • Hair tied back and out of face

  • Water bottle

  • Aerial bag with extra layers, hair ties, deodorant, etc.

Note: Baggy clothing is not permitted unless approved as a layer. Loose clothing makes it difficult for instructors to assess proper form and poses safety risks around aerial apparatuses.

Hygiene Expectations

  • Students are expected to maintain good hygiene.

  • This is especially important during partner or shared-apparatus activities.

  • Students who do not meet hygiene expectations may be asked not to participate in duo or group work.

Zero Tolerance for Bullying

Eureka Aerial is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive environment. We have a zero tolerance policy for:

  • Bullying (in-person or online)

  • Disrespect toward peers, instructors, or parents

Disciplinary Policy:

  • 1st strike: Warning

  • 2nd strike: Parent must remain on-site during class

  • 3rd strike: Immediate removal from the program with no refund and ineligibility for future sessions

Photo & Video Use

Eureka Aerial may use photos or videos from classes and performances for promotional and marketing purposes.

Lost & Found

  • Please label all water bottles, shoes, and clothing.

  • Lost items will be placed in our studio’s lost and found. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the session.
