Recreation Semester Policies & FAQs

Please thoroughly read and fill out the form at the bottom once finished.

Welcome to our recreation semester for new and returning aerialists!

It is of the utmost importance that each aerialist and guardian read and understand the agreement before making a decision to participate in the upcoming semester.  Once enrolled, you will be expected to abide by the following rules during the season.

By paying your tuition, you are enrolled into a membership, meaning if you fail to bring your child to any classes held throughout the summer, we are not entitled to give out any refunds or credit to your account.

FULL SEMESTER COMMITMENT

Due to our limited spots, students are committed to a full season when they sign on to be a part of the summer season, so please consider this carefully before committing to the program.  If you have to withdraw your child earlier than the end of the season, there will be no refunds. This does not include if your child has an injury which prohibits them from practicing.

Parents are required to contact Eureka Support via email if your child is unable to attend a practice. Regardless of instructor, contact Eureka Support. This is not only a courtesy to the instructor so they may plan accordingly, but also a studio safety policy.  You can find the necessary contact info at the bottom of this page.  All students are expected to show up to every practice unless of an emergency, illness, or a conflict that has been previously addressed.

Parents who bring students to class earlier than 15 minutes before class time or are late to pick students 15 minutes after their class has ended, will be charged an automatic babysitting fee of $30.  We understand that there will be certain circumstances where this may happen. If so, please contact Eureka Support or owner Katie ahead of time or as soon as you realize you will be late, or early due to an emergency.

SAFETY AND SPACE

Due to our limited space, we ask that you help limit the number of parents in the lobby during a class.  Parents or guardians of a student are welcome to stay in the lobby during a class, however, if you notice it is crowded, please feel free to run an errand or step-out.  Minors such as friends or family of your child may not stay in the waiting room area unattended.

Parents are not allowed to enter the aerial room while your child's class is in session. You may only enter the aerial room if the instructor has invited you in to watch.  Student’s friends or relatives are also prohibited to be in the aerial room to watch during practice and must remain in the lobby.

In order to ensure safety, all students must wait in the lobby for parent pickup.  No student is allowed to wait for their parents outside no matter the circumstances.  Any students under 12 years of age may not be left unattended in the lobby waiting for parent pickup.  Any student under 12, must stay in the aerial studio with an instructor until their parents come in the studio to pick them up.  Instructors are only liable for students during their class time. If you are unable to pick your child up on time, please contact Support or Katie prior to the scheduled class so we can make arrangements to watch over your child.

MANDATORY DRESS CODE

All children are required to wear appropriate aerial attire. Appropriate aerial attire is active wear that does not interfere with our aerial apparatuses and protects your child from unnecessary injuries. Please refrain from your child wearing zippers or clothing that will not cover areas of the body to protect them from the aerial apparatus. Skin on aerial apparatuses is painful and can end in bruising and other injuries. This year the following is mandatory:

  • Leggings

  • Leotard

  • Hair up and out of face

  • Water bottle

  • Aerial Bag with extra layers, hair ties, water bottle etc.

Baggy clothes will not be permitted this year unless approved by the instructor to put on as a layer. Baggy clothes prohibit the instructors from making corrections on whether your child is doing the correct form to execute skills. Baggy clothes can also be dangerous while performing certain moves as there is a higher risk of them getting caught in the aerial apparatuses.

All students should come with their own “Aerial Bag”. This will make sure that your child always comes prepared.

HYGIENE

Your child must practice good hygiene to participate in our aerial classes. There may be some circumstances where your child will be doing duo acts. Duo acts consist of being close to another individual. Good hygiene is required during these circumstances; failure to do so will take away their opportunity for duo acts in which proper hygiene is required for all students involved.

ZERO TOLERANCE BULLYING

Members must be courteous and respectful to teammates. Improper and negative behavior towards team members will not be tolerated. Cyber bullying and bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. Disrespect to coaches and parents will not be tolerated.  Students must be respectful to fellow students and also their peers. All students start with a clean slate. If they repeatedly disrespect their instructors or their peers more than 3 times, there will be an automatic termination from Eureka. There will be no refunds on classes. Your child will not be allowed back for future classes. Parents will be notified as soon as the 2nd strike is issued and will be required to stay on premises during all class times going forward.

EMAIL, TEXT, AND COMMUNICATION

Our goal is to keep you informed. We need you to do your part by reading our emails since that is our primary form of keeping you updated. You need to be informed on a regular basis with what is happening in the studio. As we cannot contact each of you individually on a daily basis, we will email notices, closures due to weather, and general information and updates.

We also recommend joining the Eureka Aerial Parents facebook group if you are interested in an additional form of communication.

USE OF PHOTOGRAPHY

It is understood that Eureka Aerial reserves the right to use any photography and/or videotaping of student’s performances for purposes of advertising, publicizing and promoting of the studio.  If you would not like your child to be photographed, please reach out to Support and let them know.

There will be no business inquiries of Eureka Aerial through any instructors or anyone affiliated with Eureka Aerial over social media, email, text or phone other than through our support team.
